Overview:
Use: This test is used for treatment and management of known or suspected kidney stone formers.
Limitations: This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
Methodology: Calcium, magnesium, creatinine, oxalate, citrate, uric acid, urea nitrogen, ammonium, cystine screening, phosphorus: Colorimetric
Sulfate: Turbidity with barium precipitation
Sodium, potassium, chloride: fluoride for urine volume: Ion specific electrode

special Instructions: Ordering this test will trigger the Litholink At-Home testing kit to be sent directly your patient. This testing requires the use of Litholink's At-Home testing kit and preservative.
Please state the 24-hour urine volume.
Specimen: 22-26 hour urine collection
Volume: 40 mL of 24-hour urine
Minimum Volume: 40 mL of 24-hour urine
Collection: Included preservative functions as a volume marker must be added to the main collection container at the beginning of collection and then return a 40 mL aliquot of the 24-hour urine per collection.
Full 24-hour collection: Void and discard first urine and continue to collect for 24-hour period from that void time.
All samples must be immediately returned to the lab using the prepaid FedEx shipper.
