Collection Details:

Collection Instructions:

Ship in a screw-cap polypropylene frozen transport tube or centrifuged PPT(TM) tubes.

Collect specimen in two lavender-top (EDTA), PPT™, or yellow-top (ACD-A) tubes. Centrifuge specimen within six hours of collection when freshly drawn at 15°C to 30°C. If drawn in EDTA or ACD, the plasma must be transferred to a screw-cap polypropylene transport tube and frozen. If refrigerated, specimen may be held for 24 hours prior to centrifugation. Plasma specimens may be stored at -20°C for 60 days. If longer storage is required, plasma specimens must be stored at -70°C or lower. Ship frozen on dry ice. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
