Lavender-top (EDTA) tub.
Plasma must be removed from whole blood within 30 minutes ofcollection using the following protocol: Centrifuge is pre-set to 1,600g/3,380 RPM for 10 minutes 1. Centrifuge whole blood and collect top 2/3 of plasma intoa new tube using a transfer pipet. 2. Centrifuge plasma a second time and collect plasma above pellet into a new tube using a transfer pipet. 3. Centrifuge this plasma a third time and collect plasma above pellet into a new tube using a transfer pipet. 4. Centrifuge plasma a final time and collect plasma above pellet into a new transport tube using a transfer pipet. 5. Freeze immediately and ship on dry ice.
