Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Antibodies

Aid in establishing the diagnosis of respiratory syncytial virus infection. Diagnosis by complement fixation depends on demonstrating a rise in antibody titer during a two-week to three-week period.

Children younger than six months of age may not make antibodies in response to infection.
