This comprehensive test evaluates your gut health by analyzing both microbial and non-microbial markers, providing a detailed view of factors affecting inflammation, digestion, absorption, and immune responses. It utilizes advanced shotgun metagenomics to identify specific bacterial strains and their functions, offering precise and actionable insights.

Sample Collection: The test requires a stool sample, which you will collect at home using the provided kit. The collection process is designed to be simple, taking about five minutes. This test contains two tests. It’s best to collect each test from the same stool sample.

Reference Range: 3+ years

DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your healthcare provider.

Avoid the antibiotics for 4 weeks before sample collection.

Avoid probiotic supplements for 2 weeks before sample collection.

Avoid antifungals for 3 days before sample collection.

Avoid the following medications for 2 days before sample collection.

Digestive enzymes

Mineral oil

Castor oil

Other laxatives

Antacids

Aspirin

Substances containing barium

Substances containing bismuth

Consume normal amounts of dietary fat

Test Preparation and Reminders

Please make sure ALL information is entered onto the test requisition form included in the kit and all required clinician and patient signatures are completed (missing information may cause a delay in testing and/or interpretation).

Be sure to follow the specimen collection instructions.

If the use of cold pack is required, freeze bag containing cold pack for minimum of 4-6 hours before shipping.

Provide all required information including signature on requisition form. (For non-licensed clinicians, signature is not required.)

Make sure collection containers are securely closed and placed in the appropriate bag/box.

Check whether the box has prepaid FedEx, UPS or US Mail postage.
