Evexia Standard Wellness Panel

Overview:

The Evexia Diagnostics Standard Wellness Panel builds from the Basic Wellness option to assess overall wellbeing.  This panel measures the basics, but also includes bilirubin, high-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP), Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT), and insulin.   A thyroid panel, homocysteine (which can be an indicator of vitamin B12, folate, and vitamin B6 deficiency), and DHEA-S (which can indicate adrenal function) are also incorporated.

This panel provides a comprehensive look at the function of the thyroid gland by measuring TSH, the free thyroxine index, total T4, and total T3.  The thyroid controls the body's metabolism and also secretes hormones that are necessary for growth, development, and nearly every physiological process.

This panel also includes high-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP).  Studies have shown that measuring CRP with a high sensitivity test can help identify the risk of CVD. This test is different from the regular CRP test, which detects elevated levels of CRP in people with infections and inflammatory diseases. High normal levels of hs-CRP in otherwise healthy individuals are predictive of the future risk of heart attack, stroke, sudden cardiac death, and peripheral arterial disease, even when lipid levels are within acceptable ranges.
